The Deputy President William Ruto has found himself on the receiving end of scathing attacks from every section of the political divide following his association with a Turkish international Harun Aydin who is said to be having terrorist connections.

Mr. Harun Aydin had reportedly arrived in the country and had business links with the Deputy President. He was set to accompany the Deputy President to Uganda where they had a meeting scheduled with President Museveni.

However, after returning back to the country, Mr. Aydin was arrested and detained for several days before he was released and deported. The Deputy President criticized the move apologized to him and even claimed that Harun had just received a 15Billion loan from an equity bank.

However, Equity Bank has now come to deny any links with deported DP Ruto associate Harun Aydin. The Managing Director Gerald Warui confirmed that the Turk had no loan or account with the bank.
