Reports hitting the airwaves  indicate that Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, TSP party leader Mwangi Kiunjuri and NARC Kenya party leader Martha Karua have been forced to flee after they were chased from a Murang’a Hotel.

According to a report by Kameme TV, the three leaders were supposed to meet a group of politicians from Mt Kenya region in Thika Greens hotel to deliberate on the way forward ahead of the 2022 election.

However, drama unfolded after a group of irate youths stormed the hotel and demanded the leaders to leave. The situation became intense forcing the three leaders to look for safety.

Nevertheless, the leaders booked an alternative hotel in Kiambu county and the meeting is currently ongoing. The meeting has convened together all politicians from Mt Kenya region who own political parties. Dr Thuo Mathenge who is the party leader of The New Democrats Party is also present.

Moses Kuria who got a chance to speak with has accused Murang’a governor, Mwangi Wairia, of organizing the goons to disrupt their meeting. Kuria has further warned the governor to stop his I’ll motives.

Kuria, Karua and Kiunjuri have launched the MK3 formation which seeks to unify the Mt Kenya region. It is still not clear who they will support as the presidential candidate.
