Over the weekend, socialite Shakilla was supposedly locked out of her apartment.

A video and photo of her outside the residential area were dropped online generating buzz.

It is alleged that Shakilla is living in debt in Kilimani, after her roommate kicked her out over arrears.

The claim was that she was locked out by the friend she has been sharing her flat with and that she hadn’t paid her share of the bills.

On Sunday night May 29th, Shakilla took to her Instagram stories to set the record straight. She slammed an unnamed person for leaking what she says is an old video.

“I don’t know where to start, taking video I don’t know picture, some of you are jut like acting  like* you know . I don’t know where to star, I don’t know how taking picture  I don’t know how taking picture or video  some of yall are just acting taking picture of someone like a year ago and posting them right no ill gonna help you. Have they paid you anything huh? Have they given you a shout-out instead they cut out your (expletive)?”

Shakilla added that Kenyans don’t appreciate celebrities’, yet they should be uplifting them.

“I’m gonna benefit something if you put me people wanna see how am I how is this girl, you don’t do that Kenyan don’t really appreciate celebrities or influencers or celebrities, or public figure or whatever, you are the one spoiling our name. “

The socialite added that it was a shame that Kenyans don’t appreciate each other

“Just coz I’m not cool with you, you think you can take my video?”

The controversial teen socialite had last year taken a break from social media and explained her absence, saying that she used to get depressed each time she logged in on social media.

“I used to get depressed when I came to these apps. I had to take a break.”
